Our Story
In 2010 Edify Teen Ministries Inc (ET) Inc., a nonprofit organization, was created by the founder, Elsie Scott Dunn, who was a teenage mother. She was born and raised in uptown New Orleans, Louisiana, and moved to Georgia 30 years ago. Elsie overcame many obstacles as a teen mom and aspires to help other young mothers do the same. The mission of ET is to help young girls and pregnant teens who are victims of Sex Trafficking and in low-income housing reaches their full potential by edifying them to internalize and apply positive choices in their daily lives to produce fruits of character, integrity, self-worth purity, and purpose. ET is led by a dedicated Board of Directors, as well as a Professional Advisory Board that is made up of area physicians and professionals. Edify Teens Life Center (ETLC)– another avenue to provide awareness and prevention by giving pregnant teens ages 13-21 a safe place to stay without stressors while providing them guidance to build hope that they can lead a productive life while also parenting as a teen and increasing self-sufficiency. The primary purpose of ETLC is to provide pregnant teens and young mothers who were in foster care, State custody, and victim of sex trafficking with prenatal care, education, and a safe environment while preparing for delivery. We are committed to saving our daughter!
