How We Help
We focus on providing resources for young mothers such as parenting skills, counseling, and academic achievement
Every year in the State of Georgia, we are losing young mothers who drop out of high school. They are more likely to repeat the cycle of teenage pregnancy with unhealthy births in the community, which cost the United States approximately $4.4 billion in taxpayers’ dollars.

From its inception in 2001, ETM has been committed to excellence by utilizing and accessing resources and tools that will assist in making a positive impact on teenage girls’ lives. We also strive to remain culturally relevant through creativity, by facilitating annual retreats, ministering through music and stage productions, implementing activities, and community service.
Inspired by the founder, Elsie Scott Dunn, a teenage mother who overcame adversity; Edify Teen Life Center (ETLC) is a sub-department of Edify Teens Ministries (ETM) that focuses on assisting young mothers like Elsie with beneficial parenting skills and academic achievements.
Making a difference

-
ETLC along with the our local medical community has joined us in helping to provide health and prevention information to our young mothers.
-
We utilize community resources, governing bodies, regulated organizations, and family support to help integrate healthy families into society and prevent repeat teen pregnancies. Many of these young mothers have no place else to turn to and THAT is why we are here.
-
We want to help young mothers who are hurting find hope and purpose through Edification.
-
We’d like to share a simple but profound testimony of a resident who came to us 5 months pregnant with an “at-risk” pregnancy status- The baby was only one pound at her first OB-GYN visit. We at Edify began loving this young mother, making her feel valued, helped her with good nutrition and ensured she kept up with her prenatal care and within two weeks when she returned to the specialist at Georgia Perinatal in Fayetteville, Ga. the baby weighed 2 pounds! Thanks be to God and our wonderful staff at ETLC!
-
We succeed by using years of combined experience with our successful leaders, education, and great medical care to achieve goals and leverage greater results.
