BUILDING UP THE NEXT GENERATION OF GIRLS
Edify Teens Ministries (ETM) 501( c )( 3) nonprofit charitable mentoring organization dedicated to building girls and young ladies to their full potential in by empowering them to internalize and apply Gods transforming word to their daily lives which will produce the fruit of character, integrity, self-worth, leadership, purity and purpose. To advocate, improve and empower the lives of young ladies by promoting the use of artistic expression, cultural exploration and technology throughout their growth into becoming innovators, effective leaders and professionals.
We also provide workshops and materials that inform girls about the risk and consequences associated with substance abuse, low self-esteem, lack of education and more.
Edify young girls ages 8-19 to overcome adversity, cultural challenges in their communities enlighten them to accomplish their dreams and goals, cultural exploration and 21st century technologies setting our community back up for ethic society.
To positively impact ETM programs participant’s knowledge importance of delaying sexual activity, adolescent, health awareness and increase community service, to develop and enhance the inner potential and encourage outward expression of girls within underserved communities, while supporting their growth into becoming professionals, global leaders and innovators through the use of creative arts, social enrichment and technical activities. Edify is cultivating partnerships with many, local and national organizations/ businesses.

Members of Edify Teens spent their Martin Luther King Jr. Day illustrating their own dreams with the help of magazine cutouts. “We’re kicking off the year and also kicking off with Martin Luther King having a dream. You have to have a dream in order to achieve some big things in your life,” she said. “Today we are doing vision boards,” said Edify Teens volunteer and activity leader Loren Taylor. “Really what Elsie Dunn (founder of Edify Teens) is trying to do with this organization is transform our community by helping these girls have a vision. A lot of times people don’t know to dream. No one has ever told them to aspire to do something. So we’re trying to use this visualization tool to get them to set goals ultimately.” (Read More)

Retreat pic From its inception in 2001, ET has been committed to excellence by utilizing and accessing resources and tools that will assist in making a positive impact on teenage girls ‘and young ladies lives. We also strive to remain culturally relevant through creativity, by facilitating annual retreats, reaching them through music and stage productions, implementing social, adolescent, and educational, leadership development activities and community service. This year our Guest speaker was Radio Host Spirit from T2S Enterprises. It is often quoted: it takes a village to raise a child.
